Hi TC - I get so excited when I can post a reply regarding a specific hotel! We stayed at Hotel Nardizzi 2 years ago. I have to admit that at the time it didn't seem as close to the train station as was implied, but honestly it was out first trip and we overpacked so moving 5 feet ahead was a struggle. But looking back I think it is a convenient distance to Termini and other bus stops. It's also right near a main street so plenty of shopping and eateries (and a McDonald's with a bathroom). The hotel itself is on the 4th (?) floor of a building. Going down the elegant marble staircase is fantastic, but wouldn't recommend it going up. Get ready for a small elevator (our group of 4 had to go in batches of 2). But the room itself was large and nicely decorated, and the bathroom was a very nice size. The whole hotel gave a feeling of privacy and comfort. The staff was friendly and if I recall, there is a communal computer in the lobby area with internet access. Breakfast was nice as well (typical Italian continental) and served in a bright airy room. I have since caught on to staying in apartments/vacations rentals, but if I were to choose a hotel, I would definately go back to Nardizzi again.
