We are leaving for Venice in the morning tomorrow and can’t quite decide if we want to stay in the hustle and bustle of everything or at Hotel Indigo on the far eastern side of the island. It gets great reviews as an escape from the crowds etc but wondering if the ferry or long walk each day is worth getting into town to see the “sights” or just staying in the town. We can stay free with our points or pay around $350 for 2 nights in town. Anyone stayed here before?
Thx for your help.
We always stay IN Venice and highly recommend that you do the same. It is a magical city filled with history. Indigo Hotels are nice but this is Venice so stay centrally.
In some respects, it's a lovely location, but you can't beat being in the centre.
Look at hotels in Dorsoduro, behind the Accademia. Quiet but central and handy for vaporetti.
Thank you!
