Hotel in Val Gardena with teen

Planning to spend 4 nights in Val Gardena in late June with my teenage daughter. (I'm the one who posted last week about getting from Malpensa to Venice.) We don't need (and can't afford) anything very fancy but do have some particular requirements: 1) We won't have a car, 2) She has celiac, so we need gluten-free food options, and 3) We don't do well sharing a bed.

I was focusing on Ortisei, and there are many hotels available for our dates, but I'm getting bogged down trying to find one that has a single room with two beds -- let alone figuring out whether there are GF options at breakfast. I'll keep plugging away, but I was just hoping someone might have a recommendation.

If you think we'd do better to stay in a different town, I'm open to that too -- we just want to be in the mountains and do some hiking.

Contact Hotel Grones in Ortisei. It is family owned and run and their son in law is the chef. I bet they would cater to your daughter’s celiac needs.
We walked to all lifts from the hotel as well as to the downtown area. Hotel Grones is one of our favorite hotels mostly for the personalized experience they provide.

By the way, “double beds” in this region are basically two singles pushed together each with their own duvet. Usually the beds can be separated on request.

Some hotels, like the Grones, do half-pension, meaning breakfast and dinner are included in the price. It’s fun and the meals are always, in my experience, excellent.
