Will be traveling to Taormina in May. Where does the Rick Steves tours stay when they come? Looking for nice hotel in town for less than 125/night. Anyone have recommendation?

In Sept 2009 it was Hotel Continental. I would recommend it.

My favorite reasonably-priced hotel in Taormina is Hotel Villa Gaia. I have stayed there 3 times and can highly recommend it. I love its location. The decor is a bit, let's say, "busy" - but I've always found it quiet, very clean and homey. On a clear day, the view of Etna is impressive.
