I am finally going to visit Siena as I have a few days without a car. Looking for a mid-priced hotel recommendation in a good location.. Obviously parking is not a necessity. Thanks. I guess I will be taking a bus from Florence if that makes a difference.

Terry kathryn, You might have a look at Albergo Bernini. It's in a very convenient location, not far from Il Campo and other sights, and not far from the Bus station in Piazza Gramsci. I also took the Bus on a past trip to Siena, and walked to the Albergo from the station. The hotel is located in an 800-year old building, but nicely furnished and I found the room to be very comfortable. Breakfasts on the patio were wonderful (hopefully that's still the same). I stayed at Le Camere di Livia in the University area near the Campo. Ask for a large room (I got the small single with a teensy window). Don't miss the Synagogue - it's near the Campo as well.
