Hotel in Siena?

I'm looking for hotel recommendations in Siena. We don't need anything fancy, but would like a room with a comfortable bed and a shower/toilet in the room. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

We won't have a car, so the closer to the city center the better.

Check out Hotel Alma Domus. All rooms have a bathroom, but doubles are two twin beds. Check it out on tripadvisor.

Hi Brian,
how would you enjoy the hotel citycenter or may be close to Siena? Do you have your own car?

We'll be staying at the Albergo Bernini next week, they've been wonderfully accomodating so far and they're prices are quite reasonable. We'll let you know!

Another vote for the Albergo Bernini. Just like it looks on Rick's video, including the owner serenading you in the parlor. Very friendly people, comfortable rooms, and a breakfast view that can't be beat.

Hotel Piccolo--city center, clean, neat, A/C, choice of rooms with baths or with baths just down the hall. We would stay there again.

We stayed in Hotel Palazzo Ravizza last May. It's within walking distance of everything, has a great garden and we had a fantastic view. Many rooms face the garden side with views, I recommend that side of the hotel. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's very nice inside. There are great restaurants in Siena.

Brian,

Here's another vote for Albergo Bernini. It's located in a beautiful old house, and the rooms are very comfortable. Having breakfast on the outdoor patio with a very large Mug of Coffee and perusing the scenery in the sunshine is one of my favourite memories of Siena. Finally, the family is wonderful!

Happy travels!

2nd the Hotel Palazzo Ravizza. Stayed there for two nights May 2009. Short walk to the Duomo and city center. Free and spacious parking at no charge. Left my SLR battery charger in the room (fortunately we were only staying about 20 km into Tuscany, they located and had waiting at front desk for me the next day.

We stayed at the Palazzo Bruchi and liked it. Nothing fancy but well located, reasonable, and friendly and helpful owner. Easy walk to everything, a few minutes from the square.
