Hotel in Santa Margherita Ligure

The hotel my husband and I used on our most recent trip to SML is undergoing renovations and will not be available for our planned trip in May 2020. I would like your recommendations for a nice hotel with easy access (not too many stairs) and close to the center of town. We have used the Hotel Tigullio several times but it has quite a few stairs from the street level to the lobby entrance plus stairs from the breakfast room down to the breakfast buffet. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

We liked Hotel Continental as it was directly on the water without the road in between it. Most of the guests were Italian. They have a modern annex building too. We had a large terrace which we enjoyed. Rooms were simply decorated. Breakfast were excellent and bountiful.
