Hotel in Rome near the Pantheon

Rick's recommendations are sold out.
Can anyone recommend a B/B or hotel around the $180 -$200 per day price range / or less

Any particular reason for a hotel near the Pantheon? IMO there are nicer areas to stay in. The whole Pantheon area is overrun by tourists and the surrounding restaurants, etc. respond accordingly.

not sure of your dates but booked at
Hotel Mascagni for 4 nights @137.00 a night for 2 and didn't get it with breakfast. 25 min walk to Pantheon.
Via Vittorio E. Orlando Rome, 00185 Italy Ph: 39-06-48904040
and
Mercure Roma Centro Colosseo for 3 nights,@ 121.00 a night for 2 people, 10.00 more for breakfast included. By the Colosseum. 30 min walk to Pantheon. all in December.
Via Labricana 144 Rome, 00184 Italy Ph: 39-6-770021
I wanted to stay at two different places to cut down on travel time to the different areas.
Hope it helps.

Plenty of places near the Pantheon, which I think is a great location. Hotel Abruzzo or Hotel Sole are nice.

We stayed at Albergo del Senato in 2013 & enjoyed it (but it didn't hurt that we were upgraded to the penthouse suite!!). It's definitely pricey but we splurged for a room overlooking the Pantheon & piazza & enjoyed coming back to our room in the late afternoon & sitting on our balcony with a gelato, people watching. The views were amazing. The included breakfast buffet was really good as well.

I've stayed at imperium suite navona, just north of piazza navona, within 5 minutes walk of the pantheon. Highly recommended, but very firm beds! I've also stayed at residenza zanardelli, same neighborhood but may be a bit more expensive.
