Hotel in Rome near Rome Termini

50 euro? I suggest you search venere.com. It is the European version of Expedia. I've stayed many times at the Hotel Massimo D'Azaglio on Via Cavour. It is very nice, but not in the 50 euro category. This past July we stayed at a b&b called Armonio All' Opera on Via Viminale which was very nice. The cost was 90 euro per night.

You can search venere.com by zones in cities. Select the search by map feature and the click on the zone around Termini. Good luck.

Finding a Hotel for €50 or less in the Termini area of Rome might be a bit difficult. I've paid €35 for a four-bed Dorm in a Hostel in the Termini area, so any Hotel in that price range might be a bit dodgy.

As someone else suggested, you might want to have a look at the Beehive (Cross Pollinate). Although this is more of a Hostel than a Hotel, I believe it has a few private rooms.

I have stayed at the Beehive www.cross-pollinate.com The place for a hotel/hostel is beautiful and very clean and well run. It is owned and operated by an American family living in Rome. I paid about $20.oo for a bed in an 8 bed room. They also have private rooms although I believe they go for more than $50.00 per night. They even have a nice restaurant and an art space!!!

Wendy - $50 Euro's per night near The Termini - Not going to happen - I've been going to rome with small groups for many years and know the city quite well. The price, at best, will be closer to $100 Euro's per night.

Wendy: check out The Beehive east of Termini. Fun contemporary atmosphere, very clean and safe. Dorm-type rooms around 35 euros, rooms around 70 euros (shared baths).

A few more details to add to my previous post.

The price for rooms (in the Termini area or elsewhere) will differ depending on time of year. What time of year were you planning to be in Rome?

I did a brief check and found that the prices range from €65-130 per room, per night for a double room in Alessandro Palace Hostel, €70-95 per double room at The Beehive and €120 per night at Hotel Nardizzi Americana, which is the least expensive of Rick's listings in that area (10% discount with cash). The only location I could find that might fit your criteria is a double with full bathroom at Fawlty Towers Hostel at €53 per room, per night.

You'll have to decide whether price or trying "the Hostel experience" is the most important criteria in selecting a room.
