Spending 4 night in Rome Nov. Arriving in Rome by train from Florance. Any suggestions for lodging that will make easy trip to airport. Leaving Airport @ 10 AM on a Tuesday.
Stay near Termini and take the airport train (Leonardo Express).
You're lucky. A 10 a.m. flight out of Fiumicino isn't early. Some people have 6 a.m. flights. That said, everything you could want to know is right here: http://www.roninrome.com/%20transportation/getting-to-fiumicino-early-in-the-morning Here's how he starts it: On many travel sites, this seems to be one of the most frequently asked questions. Most often it's phrased as, "I have an early morning flight from FCO and would like to know the best Airport Hotel to stay at – Can you make a recommendation?"
Stay in any hotel, one that is convienient for seeing Rome, don't worry about being close to the airport. You can catch easy trains from either the Termini or Trastevere Station, or you can arrange a taxi at a fixed rate (about 40 euro). Often you hotel will offer to arrange transport.
I agree with staying around Termini and taking the express to the airport. I do not know specific hotels close to Termini, but if you search you should be able to find some from other posts. With a 10am flight I wouldn't feel the need to stay in Fiumicino (I would rather enjoy my last night in Rome), but if you did want to, the Best Western is nice and has a shuttle.
