PROBLEM!
Reserved an apartment with a deposit 3 months ago but cannot reach them...even our travel contact in Rome can't find the owner. We are probably out our $200. Thought we might get the place in Trastevere but it turned out to not be available. We leave in 2 weeks! Anyone have a recommendation for a hotel in Rome...$200 or less??
Hotel Prati - they'll come up with a google search. Room when we were there for 4/16 & 17 was 110 Euro per night. Rooms are small and bed was too hard for me, but location was awesome (right near Vatican. If you don't mind walking, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps) and the price was right, plus they have free WiFi.
We use Aberdeen, Sonya and Contilla all in the Termini area but under 200 and probably less than 150E.
Hotel Raffaello- its THE BEST in Rome. Great prices and staff. Stayed there 2x now.
Mike, I'd also recommend Hotel Sonya or Hotel Aberdeen (both in the Termini area), although with only two weeks to go it could be difficult to find a vacancy. I'd suggest contacting them straight away. You could also try Casa San Guiseppe in the Trastevere area. At this late date, you'll probably have to take what you can find, which probably won't be $200. If you're really on a tight budget, you could also consider a private room in a Hostel (usually two single beds). Many have ensuite these days, and that would provide budget accommodations. If you need suggestions, post another note. Good luck and happy travels!
At this date, try looking at some places on booking.com or a similar site. They have last minute deals and still have available hotels in your price range. Read the reviews (only submitted by guests who've stayed at the hotel).
Hotel Artemide near the Termini station. All rooms seem to be under $ 200.00. We are booked in there in July and they get excellent reviews.
I LOVE Hotel Alimandi Tunisi. Try booking direct with them. I do NOT like to stay near the train station, and had an unhappy stay at the Aberdeen. Very far away from restaurants, etc. The Alimandi Tunisi's front desk staff couldn't be nicer, they all speak English. It's near the Vatican, and very close to all public transportation. The neighborhood is quiet and safe at night, and there is a fantastic neighborhood (local) restaurant: Piacere Molise just around the corner. The Alimandi Tunisi also has a very lovely breakfast buffet on the roof top, with the enchanting Francesco who mans it! Telephone: 011 39 06 3972 6300 You may also get a deal on booking.com. Try booking.com first, then call Alimandi direct and see who
calls first. I just returned three days ago from a wonderful stay there! Can't say enough about the wonderful staff and very clean rooms.
I meant to say "see who gives the best price!" NOT see who calls first.
Try SleepinItaly , we got great deal and location . Or RoninRome website
Good luck!
THANKS ALL!!! We got a place in Rome...good location and good price.
