Hotel in Rome

Would you like to define "reasonably priced." The Hilton is right at the airport and you can walk to the terminal.

I’m not sure what the price range is for reasonable. But the Hilton is onsite and near Terminal 1. There is also a Hilton Garden Inn with a free airport shuttle.

The way Rome is "laid out" - I would just stay in Rome for last night and take a taxi for a fixed price of about 50€ to the airport. There is not much of a time advantage to stay near the airport.

We always stay in Rome on the last night. I don't want to miss any of this great City. There's never a problem for us getting up in time for the prearranged taxi to the airport even if it's early. And if it's very early, zipping through Rome in a taxi with very little traffic is kind of magical. A great way to say goodbye.

We always have the hotel arrange for a taxi for us. We make these arrangements the day before and the taxi has always been waiting when we get downstairs, right on time.

We always stay at the Hilton FCO. We can walk from the rental car drop off, and it has a restaurant and a bar that also serves food. We usually visit Rome at the beginning of the trip, not the end.
