Hotel in Milan close to Airport

We need to catch an early morning flight in Milan. Does anyone have any suggestions as to where to stay that would make it easy to get to the airport?

Kim, I use www.venere.com quite often to find hotels in my price range and in an area of interest.

On this site you can search by location/price/star rating. You will also be able to see if they offer a shuttle to the airport (free, or at a charge)

You didn't mention which airport you are leaving from, so when you make your selection, make sure it's close to the airport you fly out of. It would be terrible if you chose the wrong airport - they are quite far from each other!

Hi Kim,

I a booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express Milan-Malpensa Airport in September for the same reason. The airport offers a 24h free shuttle between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 with a bus stop just 200m from the hotel.

I haven't stayed there yet so will be trying it out for the first time myself. Hope this helps!

What airportare you flying out of? In July I flew out of Linate and stayed at Hotel Berna which was about a 15 minute taxi ride to the airport. The train station is about a ten minute walk. Hotel Berna is very nice and I would stay here again. Check out the reviews at tripadvisor.com

Hi Kim, we did the same thing at the Novotel at Malpensa, and they have a regularly scheduled shuttle to the airport. We rented a car for the trip and will turn it in the night before and then take the shuttle to the airport in the morning. This saves time and hassle with car turn in. They are at http://www.novotel.com/gb/hotel-3458-novotel-milano-malpensa-airport/index.shtml
They gave us a lower rate when pay with credit card when making booking.

We have stayed at the Hotel Cervo and the Hotel Ascot Malpensa. Both are very nice and the price is reasonable--though the rooms at the Ascot are larger and more upscale. They both have shuttles to and from the airport. Hotel Cervo charges 3 Euro a person per trip and the Ascot Malpensa shuttle is free. The Ascot will even shuttle you to a restaurant in the evening. Their rooms are also large and the breakfast is excellent. We have been very pleased with both.
