Can anyone recommend a hotel in Milan close to the Cadorna station and hopefully the Duoma? Reasonable price would be $150 or under. I am not sure that price is possible.

Look at the London Hotel. TA reviews say very small rooms, but that is par for the course in major European hotels in the budget category. Also check out the Genius Hotel. These hotels are in between Cadorna and the Duomo and a short walk to either. You can use the Metro to get close if you are arriving at Milano Centrale.
