Hotel in Lucca- within the walls

We’re making a change to our itinerary and adding 2 nights in Lucca.
Looking for recommendations for hotel with parking, inside the walls.
Only requirement is that the hotel has an elevator and parking, with easiest access possible.
Once we arrive we will just be parking the car, not heading out for day trips.

I’ve narrowed it down to these 2 places but welcome any other suggestions.
Anyone stayed at either of these hotels? If so can you share how easy/difficult it was to access with a car?

Hotel La Luna
Hotel Palazzo Alexander

Thanks

In 2011 I stayed at Albergo San Martino, which is just inside the walls of Lucca and has free parking a few meters from the hotel for hotel guests. They do not have an elevator but state that they will help guests with luggage. There are only 3 floors in the hotel, but I do not recall whether there may have been any ground floor rooms. Their website has a WhatsApp online chat feature, so you could ask.

Hotel Palazzo Alexander fits your requirements. We drove inside the walls to the hotel and they took our car to their parking lot where it stayed put.
Nice hotel, rooms are named for Puccini’s operas.
Also , I have heard a lot good comments about BnB La Romea from friends who stayed there.

Check out the hotel ilaria. Its within the walls but off to one side by the old canal. Has a main building with a small garage, and an Annex building two blocks away. I can't remember about the lifts sorry. Free refreshments all day long and a good breakfast.

I stayed at La Luna in 2017. My shower had mold. I asked them to clean it. They said it as just dirty grout and refused to take a look. (I know the difference between dirty grout and mold.) The next day, when I returned, the mold was gone and th owner ignored me.

My pillow was the thinnest I had ever seen and it was supposed to be new.

I don't remember if La Luna has an elevator. While the hotel claims that you can drive to it, the streets are very narrow and usually very crowded with people. It's in the pedestrian area.

Lucca is a wonderful city. I returned but stayed outside the city.

Thank everyone- we have chosen Hotel Palazzo Alexander.

Suki- I have taken your advance many times in the past and never been disappointed!
I emailed them asking about access with car and they were very helpful.
It's important to us to be inside the walls and close enough to our hotel for mid day breaks.

Frank- yuck- I almost chose La Luna til saw your review. They were not exactly helpful either when I emailed them asking about access with a car. Sort of blew me off- as did Hotel Ilaria.
