Hi,
Because of the storm on the East Coast I have to start my Italian trip 3 days before I join my group tour. Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel in a nice area? That would be great.
Also I'm not going to do a lot of touring but would appreciate restaurants you've loved and sites you've enjoyed.

We were in Genoa several years ago and stayed at the Hotel Savoia. We got via priceline for a reduced rate. It is a beautiful old hotel. We found Genoa very interesting and it’s fun to wander the various neighborhoods. The information office is very helpfull. A funicular ride is a great way to get wonderful views. The Eataly on the waterfront is fun. Sorry I can’t remember specific restaurants.
