Can anyone recommend a hotel in Bologna that is in the town center and close to coffee shops, restaurants, shopping? Would prefer 3 stars or above. Thanks!

Hi,
I have stayed at the Hotel Metropolitan twice (September 2015 & February 2016). It's down a small side street, very close to the center (statue of Neptune, etc). Very nice rooms & close to a lot of places to eat.

Jackie above mentioned one of the art hotels. This is actually a local (?) chain of hotels and there are several in the city. We stayed at the Commercianti and enjoyed it. Here is the website that shows all the hotels they have so you can see which one might meet your needs the best. They are all fairly central to the historical center.
