Hotel in Bologna

Looking for a hotel recommendation for one night in Bologna. Would like to keep the price around 150€. Not too far from the train station for luggage ‘hauling’ purposes as long as it is in a decent area and not too far from the popular ‘sights’.
(I know, asking a lot. lol)

TIA!

Within the "ring road" nothing is that far from the popular sights. I've stayed many times for just a night due to flying out early and convenience. Lots to choose from but if there is a convention you won't find anything for that price. I just use booking and look at location on the map and reviews. For one night I don't usually give it a lot of thought.

We stayed last month at the Hotel Cavour. We took a taxi to the train station for under 20 Euros for 3 people and luggage. Google Maps says it's 1.2 km and about a 15 minute walk. Hotel arranged for the cab. It was pretty hot that day, so imo 20 Euros was worth it. We paid 280 Euros for the hotel but had 3 in there and it was a large room with good AC and a good breakfast at the hotel. We only booked about 8 weeks out, so that might have influenced prices, but overall found hotel prices to be expensive in Bologna.

I'll say upfront that the Hotel Mercure Bologna Centro is probably out of your price range as I remember it being expensive but it is literally across the street from the train station. We were coming in - possibly late - and flying out the next morning so I bit the bullet and booked it. It is a very nice hotel with a glossy, hip vibe but not the kind place I'd splash out for but being able to walk out of the hotel and cross the street to train statin with luggage in tow was worth it.

There are several hotels and BnBs in that area right across from the station so maybe you can find something in that area within your price range. I recommend the walk out with your luggage and no bus or taxi experience for an early flight/train.

Have a great trip,
