Any advice for a hotel in Assisi?

I enjoyed La Pallotta listed in Ricks guidebk.I would return again we stayed 3 wonderful days there in 2004.

We stayed at Hotel Umbra in April 2004 and loved it. Had a beautiful room with three windows overlooking a convent garden. This hotel has a roof top terrace and great restaurant (patio dining) also. Would stay there again.

We stayed at S. Francesco, which formerlly was a convent. Small rooms, smaller private bathrooms, but located directly opposite the Basillica. The new convent is next door. While watching an incredible sunset on the rooftop, we heard and witnessed the nuns singing!

Ditto on Umbra. Stayed there in 2004. Cost was €120

We stayed at Hotel Belvedere and loved it. Especially after checking into the Hotel Sole and finding it unacceptable. We are staying at Hotel Belvedere again this September. 65 Euro.
