Does anybody have any hotel ideas for the Oltrano district in Florence? The ideal place for us is smallish and just a tad off the beaten track. Thanks in advance for any info.
It's not smallish but it has great personality, wonderful staff and comfortable beds as well as the most magnificent view from the roof-top terrace: Hotel La Scaletta!
We stayed at Home in Florence B&B in Oltrano a few years ago. It was very quiet and comfortable, though definitely not fancy. It was very reasonable. Breakfast was unimpressive, but we just stopped at a neighborhood cafe for reasonable espresso and a panini.
We stayed here this Fall and thought it was great ; seems to meet your requirements.
Rate does include a very nice homemade breakfast

mreynolds,
I'm saving that for next year's trip. Great looking place and that beautiful antique bed! How far in advance does this place book up, if you know?
