My fiancee and I will be traveling to Lake Garda for six days as par of our honeymoon at the end of August. We are looking for a nice and romantic place to stay. Does anyone have any suggestions as to area of the lake and/or specific hotels? Thanks!
We have been to Garda and to Como. We prefer Como, more specifically Bellagio, even more specifically Borgo le Terazze. Garda was jut not our pace.
So, I guess the question is, what are you wanting to see and do while there? Do you like more night life and action or quieter?
Thanks. We were actually looking at Como tonight. What do you mean that its not your pace? We like places that aren't too touristy and a hotel that feels a little secluded even if it is in a town. We like outdoor activities and good restaurants. We aren't really big into partying or anything like that.

If you want to consider other lakes, you could also have a look at Lago Maggiore. There are lots of good hotel choices both in Stresa with great lake views as well as nearby on the lake, with a variety of price ranges. There are some nice sightseeing options if you wish, or you can just "chill". A few of the sightseeing choices....
