Hotel for family of four in Venice

Check out Ca' Angeli. It gets wonderful reviews on Tripadvisor (#2 of B&Bs). They only have 6 rooms, but two of them (I think) are family suites. We (family of 5 - kids are 16, 12, and 12) will be staying in a 3-bedroom suite.

Hotel Messner has air-conditioned family rooms, includes breakfast, located on Venice Island, and is quite cheap for Venice.

We stayed in the Venezia 2000 last summer, as part of a Rick Steves tour. It's on the Lido (a different, much quieter island) right across the street from the beach. Our room had two bedrooms, balcony overlooked the ocean. Nice breakfast room. We really liked it a lot.

When we visited Venice, I called ahead in the morning. Rather than ask for one room for four people, I told them we were a family of five, my wife and I and children 16, 12 and 8 and asked what they had.

We took a two bedroom apartment with one bathroom a kitchen and living room from Hotel d'Art. It wasn't fancy at all but was clean and perfectly fine for us. The price was less than two rooms would have been.

I would stay there again and will call them first on my next visit.

Hi Viv.. We stayed in the Campiello. They have family apartments or family rooms. Although it is a little more money, it has a lot going for it.. Air-conditioning, huge breakfast, buffet..could last you almost the whole day..computer for you all to use, and it is right off the San Zaccheria boat dock from the airport. You can get a discount for cash if you mention it at the time of booking.They also take credit cards.

Alloggi Barbaria had a double and 2 twins all in the same room. we paid 110 Euros for that room (there was just the two of us). It also came with a simple breakfast and it had the most helpful staff I have encountered!

We are staying at an apartment in the center of Venice for E130/nite--all inclusive-- for our family of four. Try VRBO.com. There are two that I have communicated with the owner and all appears very reputable.

Try also Pensione Guerrato. They have a wide variety of room combinations available. The location next to the Rialto Bridge is hard to beat. And their prices are very good for Venice. We've stayed their twice and it was a highlight of both trips.
