I would not expect ANY hotel in Rome to handle 4 adults and 3 teenagers in one room. MOST hotels in Rome can handle 4 adults and 3 teenagers in multiple rooms.

Have to agree a hotel is going to need multiple rooms.

While this is outside your requested area, there is quick and easy bus service. 10 minute walk

To St. Peters and an outdoor market a block away.

I've rented a two bedroom apartment in Rome from VRBO. I've used them often. And the price is much better than getting a couple of hotel rooms.
