Anyone on this board stayed there? The location seems great and looks good on their website, but there seemed to be a lot of complaints about the staff being unfriendly. Should I change reservation?

I would respect the majority of opinions on Tripdavisor. They get many more reviews of specific hotels than this board does and Tripadvisor screens the reviews before posting them.

Thank you. Went ahead and cancelled that reservation and went with one with better reviews.

You were wise to cancel room at hotel Duomo. We also found the staff to be on the less friendly side. Our room on the front was very noisy even though the street appeared to be a small and narrow one. Just before sunrise there was apparently a "prayer call" from within the hotel--no mosque nearby that we were aware of. We found this to be disturbing and difficult to sleep through it. Inquired about it to the staff next day and they told us it was not possible that this occurred. We definitely did not dream this!
