Hotel du Lac or villa varenna

Stayed in Hotel Du Lac in May of this year. Loved it & found the staff there so welcoming & friendly. I will stay there again the future if I should ever get the chance to visit another time.

We loved Hotel du Lac! We had a balcony that overlooked the water. The breakfast/dining room is like a Florida room--- all windows looking out at the lake, Off the breakfast room is a terrace where you can eat out closer to the water. The breakfast was the best we had on our 2 week trip.
Our room was spacious and had every amenity we needed. Tatiana was the host at the guest desk. She couldn't have been more helpful or more pleasant. The location is perfect---- close to the cafes along the promenade. I hope you can score a room!

I just got chills thinking about our experience in Varenna last May. It is drop dead gorgeous. You will enjoy Hotel du Lac, and especially the balcony. As the sun sets, lights from the villages across the lake twinkle in the water. You may not want to leave!!
