Hotel comparison please

My husband and I will be in Florence in mid September a 4 night stay. We are considering Sanctuary Firenze, a convent stay or La Residenza del Proconsolo. They both seem to be in a good location for the sights. Does anyone have experience with these two options? There are few recent reviews since covid. Any other suggestions would also be appreciated.

Without knowing much about your budget or preferences, I can only say that we loved where we stayed in Florence in November 2021. https://www.palazzoalfieri.it/en/index.php The location was excellent--along the river, one bridge away from Ponte Vecchio. The breakfasts were sumptious. The room was luxurious. It's actually a more luxurious place than we usually book, but we got off-season rates.

Not familiar with either. We usually stay at https://www.7florence.com/en/ but in October we rented a great apartment overlooking San Lorenzo with great restaurants, shops, and steps away from the Duomo and the big markets. Absolutely love Florence.

Thank you for your replies. We are trying to stay around $200/night and prefer a smaller boutique hotel located within walking distance to the major sights. It would be nice if breakfast is included.

Nancy,
Florence is a very walkable city and you should not have much of a problem.
