Has anybody stayed here in Rome. Remarks? Thx
Actually it appears to be very popular and rated #16 out of almost 1300 hotels in Rome (according to Trip Advisor). I think it would be a safe bet for you!
Stayed there for 2 nights in 2010, perfectly fine, although the rooms were quite small. Then, in early March of this year, we stayed for 6 nights at one of their 'dependances' (that's how it's listed on their website), apartments on the piazza that they've bought. We stayed at the smallest one, cheaply, and it was great. Best part was that the price included daily maid service, which you almost never see at an apartment rental. We were able to shop at the fruit market each morning, excellent restaurants steps away, although not the ones on the perimeter of the piazza itself--those are kind of tourist traps.
I have not, but did stay at Hotel Adriano in the Piazza Navona area and it was great! We walked everywhere in the Centro Storico in 10 minutes in either direction were the main sights..we also found it easy to walk to Trastevere from there...and only used public transport to the Colosseum and Vatican areas. Really nice staff, great lobby and lobby bar area with lot's of cozy seating, super breakfast and quiet rooms all updated....but not done in the lush style of the hotel that you are considering. I visited for 4 nights in Oct. 2016.
Good luck..enjoy!
