I don't see anything on the Hotel California in Florence in Rick's guidebook. Has anyone stayed there that can give me some feedback? We're planning on walking to the hotel from the train station but wondered if it's difficult to locate. What's the hotel like?

I stayed at the Hotel California as part of RS Heart of Italy tour last OCtober. I thought the hotel was fantastic. Lots of character, good breakfast, huge rooms with marble bathrooms. Several of our group had Duomo view rooms. Located about 3 min walk to Accademia (David) I had no trouble finding the hotel using map from the hotel website, it was about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Highly recommended!
