I am looking for a place to stay for 3 nights in March of 2011 in the Piazza Navonna area (which I assume from the Rick Steves book is the Pantheon neighborhood)for 2 people for around 100 euros. I know that's not much but it is low season.
Hi Renee,
There are a lot of very cool apartments in that area in your price range. I did a lot of shopping around before booking one (different neighborhood) for the first week in June. Lots of places will book for 3 nights, too.
I'm working with sleepinitaly.com, but there are lots of others. Check on vrbo.com first - more and better pix usually, though many are cross-booked with other agencies as well.
Have fun shopping!
Try Maison dell'Orologio, a small B&B half way between Piazza Navona and the Vatican. We were there in late April and it was the perfect location. The price is in your budget range.

We stayed in piazza navona area in oct 2008, nice area and we walked everywhere. Found it on freereservation.com other sites crosspollinate.com, homeaway.com just be patient and do a lot of research before booking. couple of tips: A/C, what floor or how many steps you have to climb and with luggage??LOL bathroom in or out of room? cash on arrival or do they accept credit cards? deposit and do they charge for towels and linens? I know it sounds crazy but it's true. Happy travels
We used venere.com to narrow down the search. (you can search by price and neighborhood). Then we checked reviews and even emailed with a few of the reviewers. We took our time and finally picked an apartment one half block off the Piazza and booked it through venere.com for our upcoming July trip. We are paying $130 E/ night. But there were several that were less.
Safe travels!
