Hotel and tour in Rome

Per Rick Steves' Italy book I have tried to e-mail the tour guide Francesca Caruso @ chris.fra@mclink.it.
It returns undeliverable. Anyone have the correct e-mail?
Also have contacted the HOTEL OCEANIA per Ricks advice. Their reply was to e-mail all of our visa information. Is this safe? Is this the way it is done? All other reservations have had a secure site.

I sent Hotel Oceania a request for rates only. They did not ask for visa info. Then again, I did not book with them, so maybe I did not get as far as you did.

Francesca was one of the local guides used during our Rick Steves tour for San Clemente Church, Colosseum and Roman Forum. She was very good, and extremely passionate about her work. She's been guiding in Rome for 15 years, speaks perfect english, and has a way of really connecting you to the things you are seeing and our life today.

I would highly recommend her.

She wasn't available when we were there last week but referred us (in advance) to Luca Capparucci, who we were very pleased with. We hired him for two days, three hours per day and toured the Vatican and Ancient Rome.

You can contact him at lucaguide@gmail.com. We were travelling with two tweens and he managed to keep us all engaged despite 100 degree heat!

Also, stayed at Hotel Canal Grande and were very pleased with our stay. Over the bridge and short walk from train station - quiet, opulent rooms, easy 20-30 minute walk to anywhere in Venice.
