We'll be there around 9;30 on Saturday night, so I'm looking for a recommendation for hotel and a restaurant accommodating late diners.
At 9:30 you will be an earlier diner. Some places don't open for dinner till 7 or 8. In the area Termini area we have stay with Aberdeen and Target is a good restaurant just behind Aberdeen. Also stay with Hotel Sonya just across from the Opera House with restaurants around that area and closer to Termini is Hotel Contrila which we often use for one night stays. All are three star hotels and convenient to Termini.
I agree with Frank on both Hotel Aberdeen and Target restaurant. The waiters at Target are very nice, the food is good and it is a short walk from the hotel.
Just got back a few days ago. We stayed (two adults and two college kids)at Hotel Aberdeen. Really great place and very safe location even though it is close to Termini. We ate at several nearby places- Target is a block over and wonderful! Great wine and good pasta.
DO NOT GO TO Flann O'Brien Irish Pub- (Rick, 98% you are right on but you should delete these guys...) Ok food, Ok service but near hotel. The Snack Bar across the street makes great sandwiches and great gelato. Another wonderful place to try is near the Spanish Steps- Ristorante il Gabriello on Via Vitoria. Great food and the atmosphere was terrific. Everyone we ran into ate late- we ate around 7:30-8:00 each night and were the only ones around for the start of dinner. No worries!
