Has anyone stayed at the Hotel Alma Domus? Rick recommends it and the reviews seem good overall. Any words of experience are welcome!
I stayed there when it was run by nuns in 1988. Very nice hotel and good location makes it a good value for Siena. The website says it will be closed until the 3rd of March for renovations-prices may go up and it may not be open on time so consider those two possibilities.
I stayed there last September. Rooms are simple but clean and breakfast buffet is good. Location was more convenient than it looks on the map, but is an uphill walk to the center (if that's a concern). Staff is pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
Stayed there a few years ago. Beautiful views. Very clean. Curfew. Would definitely stay there again.
We loved Siena and our stay at the Alma Domus four years ago. Friends have had positive experiences since then. Simple rooms with stunning views, very clean,
great location. If you will have a car, do check out the parking situation.
I have not stayed there before, but have a reservation for mid-April. Their website does show information about renovations, but they have assured me that the hotel will be reopening Easter week. Have a great trip!
I have a reservation there in mid-April as well. Hopefully someone will post a report on the renovations! If not, I will do so after my trip.
I would stay at Albergo Bernini in Siena. It's the best, in my humble opinion.
We stayed in 2011 and would stay again in a heart beat. We loved it..great location, view and breatkfast!
