Has anyone stayed at hotel al leon in Venice? they also have an apt. ca'marcella and we don't know which might be better. Thanks

I'm staying at the Locanda Al Leon in late April. Looks like a great location. It gets very good reviews of Trip Advisor.

Hmm, which part are you staying in? They've offered me the main house or ca'marcella and I can't figure out if they are comparable. We are going April 7-10 to Venice!

We stayed at the Hotel Al Leon in 2005 - for 3 nights in an annex . After looking at their website, it looks like Ca'Marcella is a B&B and the place we stayed was also a B&B - so it likely the same place. The rooms were large, old terrazzo floors that sloped and a decent breakfast. The B&B was separate from the hotel and was very quiet. We loved the area and I would definitely stay there again.
We also stayed one night in the main hotel and it was much smaller and noisy - and with lots of stairs to climb. I much preferred the B&B.
