Does anyone have a Rick Steves promo code for this hotel? I noticed in his guidebook he has RS% listed, but not a code. I wrote to the hotel and they didn't seem to know who Rick Steves is....
How old is the guide book?
First of all, what city are you talking about? I’ll be glad to look in the current Italy guidebook for you but you are going to have to give some more information first.
The latest Venice pocket guide book he has out...
I don't have pocket Venice. I do have a Venice guidebook from 2014 that mentions this hotel and says just notify the hotel about the 10% discount. I have the most recent Italy guidebook. When I look up Venice accommodations it does not list this hotel as a choice.
It makes me wonder if this hotel is no longer in the guidebooks, it may not be offering a discount anymore? I am unsure.
Is this a hotel that you are settled on, or are you open to suggestions from forum members?
Wait a minute! I forgot I do have pocket Venice as an E book. (4th edition). I bought it at the big ebook sale on RS guides. Is yours the 4th edition? I do find it included with no other directions than RS% code. The copyright is 2020. I'm guessing that this is one of the guidebooks in the process of being updated.
We haven't settled on this hotel. Does anyone have a recommendation for a hotel?
I am staying at this hotel in September. I haven't been there yet, but the reviews were excellent, it is air conditioned, and with advance purchase (really advance....) I have a single room there for 3 nights for a total of 266 euros. I notice it is currently quite a bit more.

You get off the Vaparetto at the Stan Stae location so it is still not far from train station, but far enough.......

Hotel Abbazia is not listed/recommended in the 2020 Italy RS guide book so it’s likely different owners now
