Has anyone heard of hot springs in the Northern Part of Italy ( by the lakes or Veneto Region) We were at a few last year when we were in Tuscany and they were awesome. Beautiful warm water ( some quite hot) running doun the side of a white colored mountain. Breathtaking!!

Haven't actually been to them but there is Castel San Pietro Terme about 20 klm's east of Bologna and I believe there's some between Vicenza and Verona.

I haven't yet been there (going in October) but a guidebook says Sirmione on Lake Garda has a famous hot spring, "thousands of people come every year to take the waters at the thermal spa." We'll see!
