We are in Tuscany longing to soak in some of the many terme in the area, but the ones we have come across so far have water at body temperature or lower. Anyone know of a springs with hot (at least 101 degrees) water?
carol, Have you looked at Bagno Vignoni? I'm not sure how hot the water is, but it's a great place.
Montecatini Terme, nice spa.

There is also Saturnia. A very plush high end spa or just go in the river. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RpAqy4_8B6g
We stayed at LaFonte del Cerro with a Saturnia address. We walked to the Saturnia hot springs/river. The hotel was very nice with a good breakfast. It was much less expensive than the resort. We walked the path to the hot springs. My suggestion would be to wear water shoes or at least a pair of socks and shoes to walk to the river. The path was grass and dirt. There were rocks in the river. The shoes/socks would also give you stability as you navigate the rocks and walk across the river to sit in the cascading hot water. The rocks in the cascades are also slippery. You can drive to the parking area at the hot springs. Water shoes would still be good to get across the gravel. We were only able to stay at the hotel for one night. We would have liked at least two nights to enjoy the hot springs more. We did tour the area and visited an Etruscan necropolis. Enjoy.
Thanks for all the helpful suggestions everyone. We ended up staying at Bagni di Lucca and "taking the waters" at Bagni Caldi nearby. While the water wasn't quite as hot as we had hoped for, (felt like 99.5 -100), it was a lovely experience.
