Check Ostello Bello Grande. It's just a couple blocks from the central train station, has a decent enough breakfast, a bar where you can buy drinks if you want to go out, and a kitchen upstairs for cooking. If you do a dorm room, there are bins under the beds to lock up your stuff, and the 6-bed rooms share a bath. Staff is helpful for directions. I hadn't done a hostel dorm before (and might be not again-getting older and pickier), but it worked out well. I'd stay there again if they had a private room available.
You've posted questions asking about hostels in a variety of cities. I don't have any recommendations from personal experience, but I have been pleased with the various inexpensive listings (not just hostels) on the EuroCheapo website: https://www.eurocheapo.com/allcities.html
They have other articles for each city, on subjects besides just accommodations. One that is particularly useful is their description of various neighborhoods. For example, here's Milan: https://www.eurocheapo.com/milan/hoods/
I notice the OP only posts questions, never replies.
Ellis,
For Hostels in many places around Europe and the rest of the world, you might want to buy a membership in HI Hostels. I've found their properties are clean and well run and a membership will provide slightly better rates and preferred booking over non-members.
I live a block away from Madama hostel. I go there for breakfast or aperitivo often. It's run by great people and the guests I talk to always seem happy. It's right off the Lodi metro line, 3 stops from the Duomo.
