I'm staying in hostel for 9 days in Rome. Lots of hotels to choose from and most ratings are good. Any suggestions from experienced hostel travelers? Near railroad station and sites. Thanks, John

John, I'd highly recommend Alessandro Palace. It's located an easy 8 minute (or so) walk from Termini, and I've always enjoyed my stays there. The breakfast is a bit "sparse" but aside from that it was great. I'd suggest booking EARLY as it's very popular. They also operate an Alessandro Downtown location, but I've never stayed there. I'm assuming it's much the same? Don't forget a Padlock for the locker and also a towel. Happy travels!

I'd recommend The Beehive. Great location - close to train station, clean, safe, and wonderful staff.
