College student, two night stay. Recommendation for a great hostel in Florence?
I would definately recommeng Hostal Archi Rossi. It's very close to the train station. The prices are great, the room are nice and bright and clean. Even better, they offer free breakfast - a REAL breakfast, with eggs and meats and all sorts of options. They also offer lunch and dinner at discounted prices: salads, pizza pasta and other items for a great bargain. Not 5-star food mind you, but it doesn't taste like cardboard either so it's great for persons ona budget. There are even 2 free tours of the city offered in the AM most days. We loved our stay there. Give it a try!
I stayed at the Hostal Archi Rossi last summer and thought it was great. The breakfast was surprisingly good and the location could not be beat.
I stayed in Academy Hostel and it was amazing! Just down the street from the Duomo but on the backside of a courtyard so it was quiet. It's a bit of a splurge for college student budget, averaging around 35 euros a night but completely worth it. Great staff, they were super helpful. Also you get a glass of wine and some light food in the evening before heading out to find some dinner. I found out after I stayed there that it's been in the top rankings for hostels in europe for the last couple of years.
