horse riding in Italy

Hello - looking for riding opportunity for intermediate/advanced riders for a day.... Tuscany area, but also could be near Rome or Venice.

I plan to ride on the Appian Way when in Rome in September. I think it’s a fairly calm ride so may not be what you’re looking for but worth looking at. Since my back is bad, walk and a little trot is all I can do anymore. For anywhere else, I’d Google it. https://www.ridingancientrome.it/

Hello ergoanya, and welcome to the forum!

Tuscany seems like the ideal place to ride horses since the countryside is so beautiful. I haven't done this but I've noticed that the area around Siena has quite a number of riding opportunities. Some of these are day trips and some come with stays at the villas as well.

This is one example - not a recommendation just an example: https://touristjourney.com/tours/chianti-hillside-horseback-riding-tour-from-siena/

I know there were earlier posts on this topic so I suggest you search the forum for these previous threads for people's experiences.

Have a great trip,
