Honeymooning in Italy after our wedding in Florence

Hi everybody!
We are getting married in Florence end of September and we're struggling on what to do after the wedding. This past fall, we got to visit Italy for the first time and saw a lot of Rome, Amalfi, Florence (not so much the countryside) and Venice. We have about nine days to explore other parts of Italy and will be flying out of Florence. We are open to driving as long as it's not like the roads at Amalfi or driving in a busy city. So far we're very interested in visiting Cinque Terre for three days, maybe go visit the truffle hunting dog in Pisa. We're looking for suggestions for other parts to explore. We like food, wine, art, culture, beach, good views, hiking (nothing too intense).... anything really!

I would consider renting a car and driving around Tuscany and/or Umbria. We were there in early October and it was lovely. The DK Eyewitness Backroads guide gives many great routes and sights. We borrowed a copy from the library and had fun planning. We also liked the historic cities of Bologna, Modena, Reggio Emilia and Parma. They all have wonderful food and art and are easily accessible by train.

You could easily take the train to Cinque Terre for your 3 days, then rent a car in La Spezia for your countryside travels. Return the car in Florence. Be sure to get the International Driver's Permit!
