Honeymoon car drop off advice from Praiano to Rome

Hello, we are planning our honeymoon this April to Italy and I hope someone can answer a few questions for me.

We start in Rome for 2 days, then take a train to Florence. We will stay at the Westin for 4 days and be renting a car upon leaving Florence at Hertz Via Borgo Ognissanti 137/R. I did research and everyone says this will be the easiest to avoid ZTL.

We then will drive to Cortona for 2 days where we take a cooking class. We rented a place close to parking.

We then drive to Soriano Nel Cimino where we stay for 3 days at the Palazzo Catalani.

We will be driving the long haul from Soriano to Praiano to stay for 4 days. Here we have private parking. Is the drive something I should be concerned with? I plan on renting a MINI FIAT.

Next, we leave Praiano and head to our final 2 days in Rome. MY BIG QUESTION....what is the best, most efficient way to drop the car and get into Rome from Praiano? I'm pretty much set on NOT driving into Rome. I'd LOVE your thoughts on this. We haven't booked our last 2 nights in Rome, but most likely we will be staying at the Westin Roma.

How does the Itinerary look? Most of our trip is booked, but I'd love some thoughts, advice and sightseeing advice.

Thanks for your advice!

From Soriano nel Cimino to Priano, www.viamichelin.com suggests driving time under 7 hours, mostly by Autostrade, so that should be easy. Highway rest stops have good services and those with a restaurant crossing over the road have the most dining options.

One simple plan is to drop the car at Roma Fiumicino Airport and take the shuttle train into the city. There may be a small fee for the airport location, plus €14 train ticket per person. Or, dropping at the major train stations (Tiburtina or Termini) in Rome don't require much driving within the city if you stay on the main ring road until the closest exit; I've only done that in reverse.

You will probably want to connect from the train station to hotel by taxi with your luggage, since the Westin is not very close to a Metro stop (and Metros get crowded).
