My husband and I are going to be in Florence and Rome next month for our honeymoon. My guess is that there are countless of 'romantic' places to dine, but to narrow it down.... does any one have any recommendations on restaurants that would be picturesque? Thanks in advance for the suggestions!

Piazelle Michelangelo, for the stunning views of the Arno, city and surrounding hillside. City buses run there, too. Or about a 30 minute leisurely walk from the city center, or quick drive. We've done day and night, and love the place. Not off-the-beaten-path, mind you, but in September...should be very nice.

Same thing for Fiesole outside Florence. RS book has bus instructions on how to get there. Or take a cab. Wonderful little restaurants overlooking Florence.
