Has anyone rented an apartment from www.homesinrome.com?
I am considering renting a 2 bedroom at the Plaza Bis, near the Spanish Steps.
Their sales technique is a bit agresive I was just wondering if anyone has had any expeience using them.
Thanks,
Bridget
Bridget if you feel “uncomfortable” renting from these folks, then don’t. There are plenty of other apartment rental companies in Rome.
I am sure that folks on this site can provide you other alternatives based on their positive experiences. Do your research and when in doubt, go with your instincts!
Good Luck!
I used VRBO.com to rent apartments in Rome and Florence for this summer. You deal directly with the owner. emailing owners in both cities was easy. I sent my deposit with paypal. Most owners want cash when you arrive. If you aren't comfortable with the agency, try another. Also, we found that prices listed are "soft." If you are staying for multiple nights, try negotiating on price.
Read the rental reviews on SlowTrav.com: http://www.slowtrav.com/italy/vr/list.asp?r=Rome
The agency, apartment and neighborhood are reviewed. There are lots of agencies so if this one if giving you the hard sell find another one.
