Home Test Kits for Entry into Italy?

Does anyone know if the the Emed Binax home covid test is acceptable for entry into Italy? I see that my airline recommends them for re-entry into the US but doesn't mention anything about using the results prior to departure. I don't see why it wouldn't be acceptable. It's an antigen test. Just wondering if anyone else has used these prior to travel and if your airline accepted the result?

My understanding is that if it is the proctored test (with an online coached portion), yes, it is acceptable.

We ordered our at home test kits for outbound flight to Italy through Qured. Their website mentions they can be used for outbound flights. That being said, I called their customer service number and mentioned I was using them for outbound and the operator had no idea they could be used for that. I informed him it is now listed on his website. I'm guessing since the requirement to test for outbound is fairly new, their is some confusion. Not sure about Emed Binax, but I would guess you're ok as long as it's the right kind of test antigen etc...

Thanks for your responses. We are definitely doing the video monitored versions and do not have time to go test before our trip, as we both work early morning to late evening jobs day before. Hopefully it all works out!

We both did our eMed (Abbott BinaxNOW) proctored tests Monday Sept. 20, for our flight early the next morning, Sept. 21. Loaded the data into the Verifly app, which frustratingly took several attempts and lots of time, but loading flight for Rome at the Dallas/Ft. Worth airport was a snap, and at immigration entry window at Rome we breezed through by just showing passports - no vaccination card needed, no test results requested. I believe the vdd authorities already had that test information from the app.

I will add to my previous post.

I downloaded NAVICA app and set up a login . Logged onto emed.com to do my test . The results were emailed to me as well as loaded into the app automatically. Sounds easier than what the other poster mentioned re uploading results. Only the gate agent checked these. I scanned a barcode via the laptop camera and that barcode was in the app with the results. I showed the results on my phone to the gate agent.

Today is my first full day in Rome, It’s good to be back !
