Home base for a Church group---Casa Bridiga?

Hello! I have used Rick's books for years for family travel, but now I am leading a church group of 30-40 to Rome for Spring Break. We will be singing at St. Paul's within the Walls, near the Pantheon, so I am looking for a home base to have everyone book at, and a place for group meals. We will have all ages with us. Has anyone stayed at Casa Brigida, one of Rick's picks? Do you have any other suggestions? Thank you!

Haven’t stayed there but but have stayed in a basic monastery in another city. It was perfectly fine and I think the one in Rome would be a good fit for your group and location. Some monasteries have strict curfews so be aware of that and dining late. As far as group meals, we would often ask the hotel to find a nearby restaurant for our groups of 40+ so maybe this lodging could recommend or book something for you. BTW here is a link to 35 monasteries in the greater Rome area, including the one you mentioned, that offer rooms.

I have to ask if every meal is to be a group meal? I am hoping not. Keep in mind a dinner in Rome will start around 7 and easily last two hours. You mention all age groups and I have to think this would not necessarily be that enjoyable for the younger members. Can you have a few group meals and the remainder independently? That gives people options to do dinner a little differently sometimes if it meets their particular needs better.

You don’t mention budget. I stayed at the Hotel Smeraldo with a RS tour and its location was good. Easily walkable to the Pantheon and other major central sights. It can accommodate large groups.

How many rooms do you need?

We will have all ages with us.

What is the age span? 2-80 is not the same as 12-65.

The more details you provide the more on point ( useful) the suggestions will be.
