We are planning on Christmas in Rome, landing 12/23, and spending 3-4 days in Rome, then heading to Florence, flying out of Bologna 1/4/14. We have no specific plans after Rome, other then ending up in Bologna to eat a ton and fly home! We have been to Italy (Rome and Florence) before, but the first time over the holidays or in winter... any suggestions on things to do and see? We will be traveling with our kids, ages 7 and 11.
