We have an opportunity to visit Sorrento this January (brr). We really love historic buildings and are hoping for recommendations for a hotel or BnB that is really old and is modernized but has lots of original building to enjoy.
We would want this to be in central Sorrento so we can walk around and hopefully shop and sightsee (if things are open!).
I've looked around and saw the Villa Crawford (convent) but in general most hotels seem to have pictures of their nice modern room so it's hard to tell.
Any suggestions?
