Looking to hire a driver for day trip transport (not as part of a tour) from Florence to Siena, etc. ... appreciate any suggestions. Thx.

Siena is a very easy day trip by bus (or even train, although the bus is faster). From across the Station in Florence to the top of the hill in Siena next to the historical center, it's a 75 min bus ride.
A private driver is of limited use in Siena, since cars are not permitted in the historical center.
Use a private driver for the Chianti area, which is rural and with limited bus options, but not for Siena.
