Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport

I have searched this forum for any reviews of the Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport. Can anyone please offer a review? We are only staying 1 night. Thanks

Just FYI, if you use the search button (top left) and type in "Garden Inn Rome airport" you will get a number of entries.

I stayed there exactly a year ago. It was fine! The food in their restaurant was very good too. There is nothing around the hotel of interest. It’s mostly industrial.

Be aware that having Airport in your hotel name does not mean you can walk to the airport from the hotel.

We stayed there before our early morning flight back home. Since I'm a Hilton Honors Gold member, we got a free upgrade to the executive floor.

The room was very nice with a few added touches like bathrobes and slippers. There's a lounge on that floor that has a complimentary breakfast. They also have free shuttles into Rome and to your arrival/departure terminal.

We arrived early in the afternoon and once settled in, I returned our rental car. The return parking lot is in easy walking distance of the hotel. We then took the shuttle into Rome and enjoyed a lovely evening before flying out the next day.

DougMac, for the OP's benefit, can you please clarify if you are reporting your experience at "Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport" or "Hilton Rome Airport"? I am sure there are a few Garden Inns with Executive Lounges, but the Hilton website does not currently offer "Executive Rooms" at the Garden Inn Rome Airport. So I suspect you might be talking about a different hotel, the one you can walk from to the air terminals. ("Hilton Rome Airport".)

Thanks TIm.

I even tried to make sure, but you are right, I stayed at the Hilton Airport, not the Garden Inn. I can't speak to the Garden Inn, but if possible, I think staying at the Hilton Airport would be more convenient.

Sorry for any confusion.

Thanks for the comments.

I've read that there is a lot of confusion about where to catch the shuttle from the airport to the hotel and that it is not marked very well. Does anyone have any helpful advice?

We stayed there in May 2019 for one night prior to our flight back to the USA the next day. We arrived at the airport on another flight. We found the shuttle directions well-marked at the airport. The shuttle runs frequently, its clean and comfortable. You can't miss the stop at the Hilton Garden as the shuttle stops right at the front door.

The hotel is nice but not cheap but cheaper than the Hilton at the airport. They have a bar, a large restaurant and lots of lobby seating. The restaurant has a wide selection plus a buffet. The shuttle back to the airport the next morning was right on schedule. I have copied the hotel's shuttle info from their website below. The website also has a PDF on the shuttle so you can see a picture of the shuttle stop at the airport.

Designed for guests traveling through Rome Airport, the modern Hilton Garden Inn Rome Airport hotel in Fiumicino is equipped with everything you need for a successful journey. Connection to and from the airport will be provided by the complimentary Leonardo da Vinci Airport shuttle. The shuttle departs from the hotel and operates between 5 am to 1 am. Service is on call from 1 am to 5 am. A courtesy phone is located at every stop. At the airport, shuttle stops are located at the arrivals level, between Terminal 1 Door 5 and Terminal 3 Door 1. The stops are A8. Follow airport signage for ‘Airport Shuttle’ to reach the nearest stop from your terminal. A bus will pass every 12 minutes and it will display the name of the hotel on the top front. Please note that the Orange Parking Express Line does not reach the hotel.

Thanks Ray. The hotel website says the shuttle stop at the airport at T3 is Door 1. The PDF says Door 4. I'm sure we will find it.

We stayed there on our last night in Rome before our flight out the next morning. The hotel is very nice. The shuttle worked fine for us to take us to the airport the next morning. The shuttle stops a lot to pick people up at the airport so make sure you give yourself some extra time. I would stay there again.

I stayed here in April the night before our flight back to LA. We stayed here because you can use the walkway from the hotel that drops you off in the airport. However, be advised it is a LONG walk.

I plan on staying at this hotel the next time that I return to Italy.

Thanks Robin. Are you referring to the Hilton at the airport or the Hilton Garden that is offsite but a few miles away?
